If you love great Thai food, then eating at Sweet Rice Kitchen in Altona North is an absolute must. You won't find anything but fresh ingredients here, and Sweet Rice Kitchen does not use MSG. The menu is simply loaded with authentic meat-based and vegetarian dishes that are cooked in a variety of spice levels. If you don't like your food too spicy, any dish can be adjusted to your taste. The Crispy Pork With Chinese Broccoli, the Mango Fish, and the Duck Pad Cha are dishes that really showcase the delicate flavours of Thai cuisine. - We picked up the food which was ready in 20 mins on a Saturday night...very fast. The Massaman beef curry and the Green curry were beautiful. The honey chicken was a bit soggy but overall lovely food and very impressed with this local cafe

- SMS came back almost instantly, and food was ready at time indicated. Two dishes we had were a little disappointing. Roti was very small and the ginger sauce stir fry had no ginger flavour. The duck curry and massamam beef were excellent.

- Veg spring rolls ok but a bit bland, could do. With some Thai herbs and chilli to jazz them up. The chilli and basil veg stir fry was good but the tofu needs to be cut into bigger. Chunks so it soaks up that tasty sauce. Good peanut sauce for the roti.

- So yummy! Tasty, with subtle flavours that did not overpower each dish. Pad Thai was delicious as was the beef stir fry with oyster sauce. We hadn't tried it since our last visit (maybe a 1-2 years ago!) due to being disappointed, but so glad we tried again. Highly recommend for fast, tasty food.
