Rest assured, there is no actual opium to be had at the Opium Den restaurant in the Sydney suburb of Potts Point, just highly addicting Thai and Asian food that is apt to inspire cravings for some of the best to be found anywhere. Chicken Satay is one of the things that is done exceptionally well, and fans of that marinated grilled chicken delicacy served with mildly spicy peanut sauce are insatiable. Takeaway and delivery from the Opium Den is facilitated by an online ordering system that makes it so easy.

- Was almost 2 hours until delivered with an estimated time of 45 mins. When I tried to phone restaurant to query what had happened they just kept having an engaged tone and had obviously taken phone off the hook as I tried for 40 mins. Eventually had to contact eat now for them to contact them and hey got through using an unlisted number they had for them. Delivery man was lovely though and was obviously having a horrible night due to bad weather. Food was unfortunately really tasteless and completely cold. Can't think of anything positive. Would never eat there again.

- Quite expensive very bland food. Ordered a soup where the broth tasted like water. Ordered sticky rice which had a horrible taste too it and had turned into rubber. Very disappointed

- Our pad thai and pumpkin stir fry was ready in less than 20 minutes, so that's a good thing. The bad thing was the food was really disappointing. I've eaten from Opium Den many times in the past and it's been great! The pad thai lacked flavour and hardly had any substance with really thin noodles, a bit of chicken, tofu and not much else. The pumpkin stir fry was a watery and too sweet version of the dish I have had many times before. Really disappointed.

- Ordered takeaway. They charged me $2 extra for extra broccoli in my stir fry... But no extra broccoli at all, there was a total of about 4 bits in it. Chicken skewers were fatty and chewy. All up was pretty disappointed in it after spending $25 bucks on dinner for myself.

- Not a great dinner. The holy duck is recommended however the pork belly ka na moo grob was a big disappointment. Worse still was the coconut rice which was more a glutinous blob than anything resembling any thai rice I've had before.
