- This is the first time that we have ordered from this branch of thai pothong. We have eaten at their Newtown branch and were really impressed by the quality and service. However, the take away failed to impress. The chicken satay skewers were of a substandard quality due to the chicken being too tough. The rice was a bit soggy and over cooked. This is a shame as the barramundi was exceptionally nice, so tasty and full of flavour. Would not order again simply because there are so many other good thai takeaway places and they are cheaper as well.

- Not bad but definitely not amazing. Ordered pepper crab and wasn't really what we expected and tasted more chinese than thai. Way too much garlic too. Felt like it took a while to arrive especially for just crab and steamed veggies. Service was friendly and maybe other options on their menu are good. Not sure. But unless you wanna stink for the next week stay away from the crab

- In the past I have had great meals at Thai Pothong Newtown,which is really consistent and high quality. Delivery from Thai Pothong Marrickville has been fit and miss. This most recent experience was negative due to the curry and thai salad arriving cold, despite the rice being piping hot. This shows that the food was ready much earlier than necessary, and was waiting a long time for delivery.
The salad didnt microwave well, so that was eaten close to room temperature (which was not so bad), however I didnt appreciate having to microwave my massaman.
At this price, the food should be consistently high quality and arrive hot. Unfortunately, I cant really recommend delivery from here anymore. - AL

- I was pretty disappointed. It's more expensive than other local thai places but I've eaten at Thai Pothong Newtown and the quality was great so I decided to spend a little more for this time. Sadly, the Pad Thai was primarily bean sprouts, had tiny thin noodles and really over cooked, rubbery strips of tofu. The vegetables in all the dishes seemed quite old and lank. The beef salad was 85% rubbery beef with two tiny bits of tomato and cucumber.

- the food did not taste any where near as nice as my dining experience at the newtown sight, i had asked for no msg, no tofu, no shrimp,
my pad thai was covered in tofu & shrimp, they did how ever deliver on time as requested i did dispose of the order only eating the entree.. very disappointing after my many many years of dining at the newtown restaurant - Leslie

- This place has the most delicious thai food. Due to the pricing, it's a rare treat for us, though. Their Massaman Lamb is unrivalled, and the Soft Shell Crab Black Pepper is a very generous serving. We had enough leftovers for each of us to have lunch the next day, which made the expenditure a little more worth it. We've had the flambé seafood curry in the past, and the banana blossom salad, and honestly, everything they do is that fresh and high quality we would eat here every night if we could afford to!
