- The food was average and a bit oily. The chow mien noodles had a strange flavour and it would have been good to be provided sauce for the prawn dumplings. Over all the food was tasty enough and a good option home delivery.

- my wife has had diarrhoea for the past 4 days after eating the prawns...she also had violent vomiting, severe gut pain and an intense headache within 24 hours of eating the dish. it may be a coincidence but she had not eaten anything else Sunday apart from some organic vegetables in the morning...she has only just been able to begin very light eating again today.

- The food was delivered in half an hour on a busy Saturday night and was delicious. The Mongolian lamb was amazing, as were the spring rolls. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and have found our new local :)

- Delivery time was 20-25 mins longer than the 40 mins initially stated. When the food did arrive it was only just warm and wasn't so great that you could overlook the time & temp. Can't say we will be rushing back

- Not the most expensive Chinese in our area but trhe servings were not very large either. Honey BBQ Pork was a disappointment as much of the meal was gristle and fat. The spring rolls were nicely crispy but there was not as much filling as you would expect. Steamed rice was probably the highlight.

- Food is always of excellent quality. Delivery time is always within estimated time. The prices are a little expensive however we don't mind paying for quality. It would be great to see a salad or two and some more authentic Asian dishes. We love Avalon Chinese.

- I'm trying to think of a reason to ever use this restaurant again - and I can't. Aside from oily dishes, half-filled takeaway containers, 'fried rice' that barely had a pea, a shallot or a piece of ham to spot in it, the service is just beyond a joke. Considering they make you pay a $3 delivery fee, plus we ordered about $50 of food, we were disgusted with the service. Our order confirmation told us 50 minutes wait time. After an hour and ten minutes, we called the restaurant to ask where our order was and the guy said it would be another 15 minutes. 15 minutes, still no food. We called again, and were told the driver was a very slow driver. After another 20 minutes the food finally arrived - but not before the driver had to call us to get specific instructions how to walk 3 flights of stairs to the top floor of our unit block. Its clear they hadn't even done our order when we called, perhaps they were waiting for enough take away orders to warrant a trip with a delivery driver. But as we paid $3 for delivery and it wasn't even in a timely way, this is unacceptable. If the food is going to take nearly 2 hours to get to you, at least be honest about it! Avoid this restaurant is my strong advice.
