Shikara Mindarie Indian Restaurant, open for dinner every night of the week and for delivery, is a gem for those who love South Asian cuisine. Specialising in particular dishes for India's various regions, Shikara Mindarie Indian Restaurant offers dishes that are authentic, traditionally made, and delectable. The lamb vindaloo, a typically piping hot dish, is made with a touch of vinegar and complex masala base. It is superb. The dal makhani, a slow-cooked, buttery lentil dish, is excellent with any order. The gulab jamun, a syrupy dessert, is a must.

- Got a text message saying it would take 30 minutes which was great and then got a phone call saying actually it will take an hour... Not happy and it took well over an hour and the delivery driver was very rude! She didn't even say hello just handed the food over and walked away!!

- The best indian tAkeaway north of the river but really disappointed they don't deliver anymore. With 5 kids it's hard to pack them in the car at that time of night to pick up dinner. We don't get to order it weekly anymore because of this :(

- We ordered a group booking on a Saturday night and while the dishes were tasty, there was too much sauce and not enough meat. Last night we ordered a delivery and OMG, it was absolutely brilliant. The goat dish that my wife had was fantastic while the chicken jalfreze I consumed was magnificent. Full of tasty meat and spices. Great value meal, beautifully seasoned and delivered quickly and with a smile. Great work Shikara - highly recommended.

- Shocking service! Meal took 1 hour to be delivered. Had to ring up and ask whereabouts our dinner was! Recieved a message saying our meal will be here in 30mins. 1hour later it arrives. Cold! Had to reheat in microwave!! Only a 5 minute delivery journey from mindarie to clarkson! WILL DEFFINATELY NOt BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!

- The food we ordered was very good and still hot when it finally arrived , although some of the order was missing again.
We received a text saying delivery would be in 50 mins, but 60 mins later still no delivery. After an hour and a half...yes an hour and a half we rang to find out what was going on, and told he had just set off and it would be her in 15 mins...needless to say it was a further 30 mins before it arrived. The driver apologised for being a bit late!! ! Come on shikara get your act sorted out its only 5 mins by car from your shop to our house, either get more staff or don't offer a delivery service. It's a real shame as you offer a good product let down by extremely poor service...shame on you . - David

- Took 85 minutes to arrive. Meal was nice but the rice has changed and now all they have in it is peas. Used to have loads of veg and paneer. Not sure if the change is permanent but it was a shame.

- Very disappointed when order was placed at 7.00pm we received a text saying order would arrive around 45 minutes an hour and ten minutes later we rang the restaurant to be told it would be with us in 5-10 minutes as it had left the restaurant. At 8.40 pm we still had not received our order we again rang the restaurant to again be told it was on its way. The onion bahji's were cold and soggy as was the naan breads. Won't be using them again. You would expect a bit of a delay for delivery but waiting nearly 2 hours I won't be using them again!
