An upscale Indian restaurant in Thomastown, Chawla's marries the atmosphere of a fine dining establishment with the culinary sensibility of authentic, home-cooked north Indian cuisine. The seafood dishes are particularly good and the Amritsari fish, with its unusual and satisfying masala mix, is delectable. Vegetarians will love the wide array of options, though the vegetable Manchurian dish is a must. Chawla's is known for its goat biryani so bring friends and give it a go. The gulab jamun, a sweet cream dessert covered in delicate syrup, is made fresh daily.

- Good service. Nice food. Just one thing there was no much difference in butter naan and plain naan. Love the curry gravy. You can still make chicken pieces nice in chicken kadhai. Happy with the food we had last night. We will definitely order next time.

- Food was pretty good couldn't complain. The severing size's were very very small. BUT what is really annoying is when your order turns up and not everything is there.
I payed for my order to find that there was one item missing.
Very disappointed.
And once again the delivery was late. I would prefer that you say 1 and a half hours than say 45 mins. - Simon

- Food was good. Better than I had expected as I'm very fussy when it comes to indian food. Tried the chicken mughlai and vegetable korma which were nice but I prefer the mughlai so wouldn't order veg korma again. Samosas were nice and just how I expected them to taste and garlic naans were great. Light and kinda flaky. Only complaint was that the vegetable biryani was a but spicy when rest of my dishes were mild. I'm use to a biryani that is more milder and rice is more fluffier with more veg. This one seemed to have a thicker consistency to it. Was also expecting a mint chutney with the samosa but got something else which I didn't touch.
Spped of service was good. They said 45 mins delivery and came at 55 mins which is fine.
Overall food was good. I'd order again from there and they give you 15% off first order too. Prices seem reasonable too. - Najah
