Western Australia residents who are fortunate to be in the vicinity of Connolly Drive in Kinross have made the Essence of India their favourite when it is divine Indian takeaway or delivery on the dinner menu. - Twice in a row now we've had really bland meals. The butter chicken and korma had absolutely no flavour and were not why we keep going there. We were really disappointed and would hate to stop going here

- Pretty good curry and I am used to curries from Manchester where they're fantastic. The chicken vindaloo was really nice. Not as hot as I'd like but still good. The Balti had loads of taste. The onion bhajis were good too. Best one I've had delivered yet.

- The food was ready on time for pick up. As we had not ordered before we choose mild which is maybe why it tasted pretty average. Impressed with the size of the Garlic Naan and the portions sizes of the meals were pretty good too. Overall it was an enjoyable meal and we would definitely order again. However next time we will be a bit more adventurous and go medium spicy.

- Placed an order to be collected 1 hour later. Wentto collect food. Restaurant empty and still waited another 15 minutes. Food was cold and poppadoms very soft. First time to be disappointed. Wonder if they have new owners.

- The food tasted fresh and was cooked nice, however I used the 'spice scale' moving from MILD to HOT on the online ordering facility yet every dish tasted the same. Very disappointing to get 3 different dishes and they all have the same flavour - very mild. Not what I wanted after spending $65.

- The food was good as always, however this is the 3rd time we have ordered from here and everytime we have had a 30+ minute wait for our food on pickup, even though all 3 times the restaurant has had no more than one table dining in so it isn't busy. I even ordered and paid at around 1pm to assure there would be no wait. Is a bit offputting. Tossing up whether it is worth the extra wait. Would be better just ordering in store and sitting waiting as they seem to only begin cooking when you arrive.
