The Empress of China restaurant in the Sydney suburb of Carlingford is the place for some of the finest Chinese and Asian cuisine to be found south of Peking. - There was a mixup with the delivery time.I refused to accept it at 5.30 it was ordered for 6.30,delivery man was not happy.I only hope I didn't recieve the same meal re heated at 6.30.Phoned the restaurant and the lady said the delivery time wasn't clear on the order,hope that is rectified because I won't re order if there are ongoing problems.Food usually pretty good.

- Most disgusting meal ever. Ordered hot and sour soup, first there was very little of anything except liquid. And instead of being hot and sour it was bright red and was sweet and sour. That went down the sink. Then the Szechuan chicken, no hear at all it was grainy and tasted sweet.

- Quality was pretty good, nothing special but an enjoyable dinner.
Speed was actually too fast - we were expecting a 15-20 minute wait but the text told us 10 mins; and as a result the food was not quite as fresh as possible but this is more our fault for not specifying a time of pick up. This is a function we will definitely utilise next time.
Value for money was average - the Szechuan King Prawns was a little bit small for a serving size, but overall between two we couldn't finish all the food.

- Excellent food, have tried most around the area and I am pretty picyk about the Chinese that I order. The food is always delicious, reasonably priced and delivered hot by friendly staff. If I have any cons, and it's just a personal preference, I do not care for their dim sim's, but then I am yet to find any that are good in Sydney anywhere.
