Fujiyama Restaurant brings the sophisticated and delicate flavours of Japanese cuisine to Brighton. Open for dinner and available for delivery, Fujiyama Restaurant specialises in authentic sashimi, sushi, and handrolls. For those more adventurous, the traditional butanaki shogayaki, gingerly sliced pork simmered in sake, is excellent. A variety of noodle and rice dishes make this restaurant a great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free individuals. Remember not to overlook dessert. - One hour delivery - $46 for okay Miso soup, cold (almost refrigerated cold) Gyoza and Teriyaki chicken which was cold pieces of fatty chicken, floating in a soup of brown water which had no resemblance in look or flavour to Teriyaki. Enjoy!

- I have ordered from this restaurant a few times. However, the last two orders haven't been as good as they were in the past. Tonight in particular the gyoza was burnt on the bottom, the sauce was very vinegary and our fried rice was only 3/4 full.

- Never Again... Ordered dinner with an option to "come around 7:30pm", came at 7pm. If you can't accomodate, why give options? Sashimi wasn't fresh and had odd texture, and the little beanshoots condiment was OFF. It smelled FUZZY and we threw it away. The food was overpriced too, compared to what we can get at a sushi joint around the corner. Not worth the money!!!

- The pancake was delicious and the accompanying vanilla ice-cream was of high quality and very creamy. The eggplant with miso and the dofu teriyaki were great too! The rice, cucumber maki and mixed vegetables were also nice, and the tempura veggies were very good.
I didn't enjoy the spring rolls or the miso soup, though that was due to my personal preference for vietnamese style spring rolls and distaste for miso soup, not the quality of the dishes.

- A bit disappointed that they clearly hadn't read anything I wrote in the comments box. I have fructose malabsorpsion and requested no onion or spring onion but the food arrived full of onion and sprinkled with spring onion. I also gave instructions for finding my house as the entrance is in the side street. Following these instructions it is very easy to find our place but as they didn't follow them they called me from around the corner and I had to walk around the block to find them. The food was nice enough and I especially liked the Agadashi Dofu; but I found it all a bit overpriced given the poor service and the fact that I had to go through the dishes and pick out the onion. I would consider eating in at the restaurant so that there were less communication issues but would be hesitant to order take-away from them again.
