Tucked away in Surry Hills is this fabulous Thai restaurant. Wandee Thai Restaurant- Surry Hills brings the taste of homecooked Thai dishes with its own unique twist. Traditional Thai salads, that meld fresh, savoury meats with crisp raw lettuce and lemon-chili sauce, are perfectly flavoured here. The jungle curry dishes are not for the faint of heart. Made without the cooling benefit of coconut milk, this curry is served with your choice of vegetables, beef, chicken, or seafood and brings with it the notorious - and delicious - Thai fire. Excellent date spot.

- Been ordering from them for more than a year and they consistently good. Serving size is really good too. The order usually arrives really quick. Also thanks to the delivery guys, they are always very polite.
I like that they have brown rice options to go with curries, and my new favourite is spicy chicken rice.

- The lamb shank curry was well seasoned and tasted great but need a bit more time on the heat. The meat was not exactly falling off the bone. The roasted duck was delicious except the sauce that came with it was too heavy on the sweet side. Delivery came on time. Great meal but probably does not warrant a repeat order - at least not for the same dishes.

- Came within the hour. Nice big serving size. Tasted good. Thai beef salad was pretty hot - tasted nice but not everyone likes it so hot. I've been to Thailand though and the foods really hot there so I guess that's just authentic

- When we ate at the restaurant, their Chicken Pad Thai was absolutely amazing. Three days later, we ordered for delivery, but while the Satay was great, the Pad Thai ended up being properly burnt and dry :( Was a bit disappointed. Given that the eat-in was really great though, and they are only a block down, I'll definitely give them another try. Price is great and amount of food, too.
