Bai Thong Thai is a Thai restaurant specializing in dishes using the freshest ingredients. Regular customers give the restaurant high ratings for quality and service. One of the special dishes is the Peking duck breast. It is sweet and spicy, which really hits the spot! For seafood lovers, the phu nim is a must try! It is a dish of soft shell crab in yellow curry sauce. The entrees are all reasonably priced, and there is something for everyone. Bai Thong Thai in Newtown is the perfect location for dinner.

- The meat and seafood was all very chewy and dry - the curry flavour was good but the pad Thai wasn't great. Service was great but unfortunately we won't be trying again - I love my Thai food too much.

- Ordered Larb Plaa - "Whole fried barramundi" which was not whole but fillets all of the same size? Also ordered Nam Tok - Thai salad which seriously only had a couple of lettuce leafs and the rest was seasoned meat and no rice; 90% meat & 10% salad does not equate to a salad dish. Flavours of curries were nice but overall very disappointed that other dishes did not reflect what was actually detailed on the menu.

- From first placing the order to finally getting it. It took three hours after I had called again and again trying to find out where it was.
The best they could do was they were busy and would offer a free bottle of soft drink.
Three kids under nine can't wait three hours for there tea.

- A great Thai meal. It has been a long time since we've had Thai and last night's meal had us wondering why we aren't eating from Bai Thong every week! The food was delicious and the online ordering was very easy. The time taken from placing the order to picking it up was surprisingly fast. Good value for money too. Next time we'll check out the home delivery service. Very impressed!!
