closeD'amato's Family Restaurant offers the best in simple Italian dishes in a family-style environment. Gourmet pizzas and heaping bowls of pasta are the specialty here. The simple Margharita pizza, with tomato and mozzarella, is delicious and fresh. The smoked meats topped on many of the pizzas taste like Rome. If you love fish, the Beer-Battered Pacific Dory hits the spot. Dishes are great for sharing and the garlic prawn hot pot is excellent for a large group. D'amato's knows how to make simple dishes well. Unpretentious, well-made southern Italian food.

- Very disappointing.
This is the second time that our delivery has not arrived within the time frame given to us. On the first occasion i called them after an hour had passed and they were "still cooking it". Called them 20mins later requesting them to just "forget about the order!", for them to conveniently tell me that "the order is on its way".
Finally after an hour and a half we got it. It was average to say the least.
The next time (and the very last), again, after an hour I phoned. "We are very busy at the moment, chef is cooking it now should be there in 15mins"..
I called them after the 15mins had passed for them to tell me that they are sorry it's due "to public holiday".
Ok, public holidays are hectic I understand that- but what happend to common decency to inform of the delay?!
Must not value customers.

- Ordered at 7pm, text to confirm expected delivery at 8:30pm. We called at 8:45pm to ask an eta, told we were the second delivery and it should arrive very soon. Called back at 9:10pm to be told the restaurant was busy and the driver had left (we live 5 mins away). Pizza arrived at 9:30pm.
They apologised and basically said they were busy. I wonder if we dined in, arrived at 7pm would we be waiting two and a half hours for 3 pizzas - pretty poor! - Sarah
