Located conveniently on New South Head Road in Double Bay, the Double Bay Schnitzel House offers delicious lunch and dinner choices in their downtown cafe. - As an extremely tired tourist, I was looking forward to ending a very busy day with some comfort food. What a disappointment. The pork knuckle was disgusting - the meat tasted strange and unpleasant, and the rind was leathery with writing on it. The cheese on the garlic bread wasn't melted, and the chips were soggy. Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't even let my dog eat here.

Delivered the wrong order and had to call and bring the right one back.
By the time I got it was cold and soft.
Food was oily and overall bad experience.

- Absolutely delicious! I love the sauce it came with, and the potato was really nice, too. I wish they delivered out in Hunter's Hill, I'd pay a mint for that sort of food.

- My order was timely but delivered cold. The Schnitzel, although in a separate container, was delivered in the same bag as the cold potato salad and banana split, the latter arriving in a container of melted ice cream.
The potato salad and roasti and cabbage salad served with the schnitzel were very tasty but the veal schnitzel itself was so tough and over-cooked it was inedible. Even my dogs were not overly interested in eating it. - Marilyn

- The barramundi makes me want to marry whoever cooked it. Crispy, flavoursome, and paired with delicious potato and salad. The apple strudel is the BEST if you love dessert, but be sure to warm it up!
