Ramsgate Chinese Restaurant, located in Ramsgate, has a nice selection of Chinese and Asian dishes to choose from. The menu is fairly extensive and includes lots of popular favourites as well as some more unique items. The family packs, that allow diners to try a little bit of everything, are a fun and economical choice for families or large groups. Ramsgate Chinese Restaurant mainly focuses on Chinese cuisine, but the Thai and the Malaysian curries are good examples of other Asian dishes found on the menu. Highly recommended are the Mongolian Lamb, the San Choy Bao, and the Braised Beef In Plum Sauce. Make it a night in and order delivery to your front door.

- Order was more than 1.5hrs late. I rang after 1 hr and the failed to tell me they didn't have shelled prawns. They rang 20 mins later to tell me! Such a different experience to the first order..

- Order originally said 30 minutes. 50 minutes later the order arrives. The restaurant wasn't busy either and order was placed after peak time so that's disappointing. Food was average. They used to be better but the salt and pepper seafood was still good.

- ETD was 60 mins. Rang the restaurant after close to 90 mins wait and was told that the order was sitting there waiting for the driver to come get it and deliver- so it was probably going to be at least another half hour because my order was second for that run. Not happy at all! My husband ended up picking up the food.
Food wasn't bad but not too great either. Definitely not worth the wait and what made it worse was that the lady I spoke to wasn't apologetic about the delay at all, plus they charge a delivery fee for their crappy service. - Pia

- I'm very picky on Asian food so take this review with a grain of salt.
Delivery time was good, came within 5 minutes of approximate time.
Food was very hot and fresh and I was looking forward to a few of my favourite meals.
The San Choy Bao is a family favourite, but these we're a bit too plain for my liking, a bit more soy would of been perfect.
The dumplings we're fantastic, very tasty, a suggestion is to provide chilli sauce as well.
The main meal was the rice noodle, however it lacked flavour. It again could use some more sauce.
Overall, a decent experience. I will try this restaurant again, but I'll try their specials next time. - Dave
