- Wow, restaurant dining at home! Bored with the usual pizza delivery options I stumbled across Cafe Va Bene and glad I did. Meatballs with a tasty sauce and parmesan, generous & delicious Oysters Kilpatrick and succulent Ribeye Steak with the right amount of char. The offering of a decent sized prime cut steak was what convinced me to place my order. There wasn't an option for how the steak is cooked in the ordering system, so I thought it would come as the chef decided it should be prepared, which some restaurants suggest. However I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call within minutes of ordering to ask me how I would like it done. Next time I will type it in the comments box now that I know. I was prepared for the food to arrive warm given the distance for delivery, but it was better than I expected and the steak was simply kept warm in the oven while having entree. It lost nothing in taste and the entire meal was equal to dining at the restaurant except in the convenience of my home. Cafe Va Bene brought the restaurant to me and I certainly will order again.

We have eaten at the restaurant many times and have enjoyed the food immensely. However this is the first occasion we have made a delivery order. The food did not match that served at the restaurant, Delivery was 25 minutes late and food was look warm. Again I feel that distance may have been a considering factor. Thank you - John

- Ordered pizza garlic bread and they rocked up with normal garlic bread which is $10 cheaper. Pizza was okay but very greasy. Arancini balls were in a bowl of napolitana dipping sauce so it ruined them. Should have been on the side or if not at all. Genuinely not very happy with my order.

- We've ordered from va Bene a few times now and although the food is always good the delivery times have been disappointing. Particularly when 30-40 minute delivery times are quoted and our order arrived after 75 minutes. On both occasions we've actually had to call to find out if our order was in fact received only to be told that they got busy and orders were delayed.

- After waiting 70mins for my delivery I called and was told they got so busy and forgot my order... Manager sent it out free of charge which was a lovely gesture ... When it arrived another 40mins later it was enjoyable. The bolognaise sauce was a little too runny for my calzone But fresh and tasty. Little expensive compared to other italian delivery cafes.
