Anyone who appreciates great Thai food is going to be very appreciative indeed when they get their hands and teeth on any one of the many fine offerings to be found on Blackburn Road in the Doncaster East section of Melbourne, thanks to the efforts of the chefs and staff of the Som Thai restaurant. - Unfortunately part of our order was incorrect. The Massaman Curry was very ordinary, usually is has more vegetables and is not so watery. We ordered mild and received hot. It even said hot on the receipt where our order on screen clearly says mild, so not sure what is going on. Rest of the order was okay. The kids like the special fried rice.

- Ordered for delivery at 7. Food arrived at 735. I live like 5 minutes away. Delivery guy told me he left the restaurant with the food at 630, as if the idea of my dinner sitting in his car for an hour on a 39 degree day was supposed to reassure me. I called the restaurant around 730 to see where it was, spoke to a young girl who offered nothing but "ok thanks" and hung up. Awesome, thanks jerks.

- Food was average however I almost chipped a tooth on the massam curry where two large branch like spices where left in the sauce! You can also select the level of spiceness and I chose mild but my dish was more medium and I struggled with the heat. I am not impressed they charge a delivery fee when most local restaurants provide delivery for free when you spend over a certain amount. My order exceeded $50 and this restaurant is less than 1km from me and delivery fee was $8.
